Jade Dressler is Artist, Curator and Creative Director of Green Provocateur, the global art collaborative based in New York, commissioning public art projects around the world. Her belief that collaborative art is integral to the future of humans and the green world we inhabit has informed all of her art since the 1980’s.

As an artist, Jade has exhibited her art in New York’s New Museum and famed Gracie Mansion gallery and curated shows and panels for New York’s Anonymous Gallery and KIWI Arts, as well as sites around the world, including Europe and South America. As principal and Creative Director of Jade Dressler, she has developed concepts, branding, content, design, events, marketing and public relations for a wide range of luxury, pop-culture lifestyle brands and green initiatives. Jade’s commentary on art, design and urban greening can be read on her Metropolis magazine’s POV column posts and The initiative for Green Provocateur grew from Jade’s passion for nature and the desire to re-ignite emotional connection through art and surprise, the impulse which can unite empathy and creativity for evolved, sustainable solutions on the planet.

Public Art. Green Provocateur’s first international public art intervention was awarded and commissioned by AMAZElab, a non-profit cultural lab, based in Milan, which works for the diffusion and knowledge of contemporary cultures in projects around the world. The transitional neighborhood of Isola in Milan was the first setting for Green Provocateur, turning an urban railway staircase into a lush green oasis, for the 2011 Salone’s satellite fair, Green Island. Four months later, Jade was invited to speak on the highly publicized project at BOOMSPDESIGN, a conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil, featuring notable artists, architects and designers from around the world. Another large landscape art installation is The Portal Project, where the artist Pasha, has created ten gates in the mountainous terrain of Paraty, Brazil. Jade introduced the artist to the landowner and will curate its expansion to three other directional locations on the earth, as a project of PLANT., a creative agency representing artists and photographers. Precursors to Green Provocateur, Jade concepted public art iniatives at The Global Peace Film Festival in 2006 and Love Notes 1,Union Square Park, New York City in 2008.

Clients. Art and design clients Jade has worked with include Design Within Reach; “The Art Hotel,” The Sagamore Hotel in Miami Beach and International Art Expo. Media clients include American Express Publishing; Hachette Filipacchi; HGTV; The Sundance Channel; VH1 and Food & Wine; Metropolitan Home and XXL magazines. Pop-culture and lifestyle clients have included Anne Cole Swim; Aveda; Benjamin Moore; Natural Product Expos; Luxottica; Lenscrafters; Louis Vuitton; Macy’s; Speedo; Sunglass Hut and Yahoo.

In the 1990’s, Jade was at the forefront of sustainable, green business practices as a clothing, marketing and retail space designer, for Blue Fish, one of the first collections of organic clothing. She is also noted for her couture accessories collection, JAMP, based on micro-macro cosmic patterns in nature, which sold internationally at stores such as Henri Bendels and Saks Fifth Avenue; appeared in media such as Elle, Marie Claire, Vogue, W and WWD and was commissioned for the runway presentations of Bill Blass, Mary McFadden and Oscar de la Renta.
